  My 5 year old son had an appointment today. Mind you we drove an hour away for this appointment. We had a referral to Dr. Polterock's office. This Doctor ask me why my son was there. He did not review the referral. My son was referred for a hearing test. This Doctor told me they only do hearing test on Wednesdays. This was a Monday. Why would your office schedule an appointment on a Monday knowing he needed a hearing test. We needed a Doctor referral to start Speech Therapy. Dr. Polterock asked how many siblings my son has, I replied he has three older sisters and a baby brother. The Doctor told me he has "Little Mothers'" caring for him so it's not required for him to speak for himself. I told him my children are treated as children and not allowed to "Mother" my younger children and they are required to hold a conversation when talked to. He asked if my son's teacher advised Speech Therapy. I then told him I Homeschool my children. I spent 20 minutes in this guys office opposing his opionions on my "Large Family" and Homeschooling. My kid needs a referral for Speech Therepy, I don't need Parent Shaming from a guy that thinks a white coat makes him superior.
